About
I am currently an ACLS New Faculty Fellow affiliated with the Department of History at Stony Brook University. I received my PhD and MA from the Department of American Studies at Brown University and my BA from York University.
My publications have appeared in the Journal of the History of Sexuality and the Journal of Religion and Popular Culture. My book manuscript "Save Our Children: Sexual Politics and Cultural Conservatism in the United States, 1965-1990" is under contract with University of Pennsylvania and is slated to appear in their series, Politics and Culture in Modern America.
Recent courses include: "US History Since 1865," "US History Since 1945," "Youth, Culture and Politics in the 20th Century US," "Gay and Lesbian History in the United States Since 1850," "History of Sexuality in the United States," "History of Race and Ethnicity in the United States," and "Comparative Civil Rights Since 1945."
